MAUI PARKSHORE HOUSE RULES

Welcome to Maui Parkshore AOAO

The following is a subset of the House Rules which apply to everywhere on the property. This subset of the House Rules is in addition to all other rules and regulations of the Association. Familiarize yourself and all occupants with the rules. Failure to comply could result in a Notice of Violation that will be shared with the Owner and/or Rental Agent.

 

1. Registration is required for all guests, visiting owners, and friends & family of owners. On-line registration is now available at Maui Parkshore using the QR code located in several places in the lobby – by the elevator, on the bulletin board and by the office. Wi-Fi is also available in the lobby for your convenience in registering.

2. There is a 15-minute loading zone located in the first driveway, closest to the lobby; otherwise, please park in the parking stall assigned to your unit. When you enter your unit # on the electronic registration form, the assigned parking stall # for that unit will automatically populate the field. There is also a legend posted in the office window with corresponding unit and parking space numbers. There are no designated handicapped parking stalls or parking for a second vehicle.

3. The volume of all appliances shall be kept down to avoid disturbing neighbors at all times. Quiet hours are between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. After 10:00 PM, persons using corridors, stairways, elevators, walkways and the parking lot within the complex or their unit lanai (balcony) must keep noise to a minimum. Remember, the condos are concrete and voices carry!

4. Children under 12 must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult. Running or playing in the walkways, stairways, elevators, BBQ area, or parking lot is not permitted. For the safety of all residents and guests and for the protection of property, the use of bicycles, skateboards, hover boards, scooters, roller skates, roller blades or similar modes of conveyance or recreation is not permitted in the common areas.

5. No baseballs, golf balls, beach balls, softballs, footballs, Frisbees, drones or any flying objects shall be played with in the pool or common areas.

6. Maui Parkshore is a non-smoking building. Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside the units and lanais (balconies) of all units along with the common areas. The common areas include the parking lot, walkways, breezeways, lobbies, elevator, swimming pool and BBQ areas. The no smoking policy also applies to the smoking of medical cannabis.

7. Do not hang items, including but not limited to towels, rugs, clothing or other objects on the lanai railings, on the hedge or railings outside the front door or in the walkways. If a deck box is provided, use it to store toys, picnic items, coolers, ice chests and boogie boards. If not, such items must be stored in the unit, not on the lanai. No bicycles may be stored on lanais.

8. Do not shake or sweep towels or rugs from the lanais or into any of the passageways. No water or cleaning fluids shall be tossed over the walkways or lanais onto the ground or other lanais.

9. Remove all sand from you and your beach equipment, including surf boards, paddle boards etc., at the hoses located in the parking lot and side stairways. Please dry them before entering the building or stairways.

10. Trash chutes are located between units ending 10 & 11 and in the corner near the elevator on each floor. All trash must be securely wrapped in plastic bags. Under no circumstances are items to be left stacked at the refuse chutes or bins. A dumpster for large items is in the covered area near parking spaces 10 – 12. Only Glass, Aluminum & Plastic with a HI-5 recycle symbol are recycled; Use the three blue bins located in the covered area behind the pool house.

11. Toilets and other water apparatus shall not be used for any purpose other than that for which they were constructed. Do NOT flush “Flushable” baby wipes or personal hygiene wipes in the toilets. They must be disposed of with the trash in the trash chutes.

12. Grocery carts are to be immediately returned to the downstairs lobby behind the back-entry door and are not to be left in the units, walkways or lobbies.

13. If your unit is equipped with a 7 ½ foot umbrella in a heavy weight base or hanging lanai shade (sunscreen), please adhere to the following: The shade must be up and the umbrella must be closed 1) when you leave the condo; 2) at night; 3) when it is raining; and 4) during excessive winds. Lanai shades should hang so as not to bang against the lanai railing or swing in the wind. NO BEACH UMBRELLAS MAY BE OPEN AT ANY TIME ON THE LANAIS.

14. PLEASE: No feeding of feral cats, birds or chickens on the property.

15. No fireworks of any type at any time in or around the building or common area. No firearms or deadly weapons of any nature are allowed onto the Maui Parkshore common areas except for transport of unloaded firearms pursuant to Hawaii Law.

 

POOL & BARBEQUE AREA

1. Pool and Barbeque hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

2. Barbeque grills are for the use of all owners and guests and therefore must be shared. Plates and food carried from the units to the BBQ area should be covered to avoid spills. Please DO NOT cut through the pool area with plates of food to and from the BBQ. After use, please clean the grill and leave it in ready condition for the next guest to use. Tables are to be wiped down, and the area picked up. All liquid waste must be placed in a plastic waste bag and then placed in the garbage can.

3. No lifeguard is on duty. Use of the swimming pool is at the user’s own risk. People with limited swimming ability (especially children) must be accompanied in the pool by an experienced swimmer. Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

4. No person known to be or suspected to be afflicted with an infectious disease, or open sores, or wearing bandages, may use the pool. Any persons who are incontinent, and children under 3, must wear rubber/plastic pants (swim diapers do not provide adequate protection).

5. Wash off sand and all sun tan lotions and oils prior to entering the swimming pool.

6. Dry off when you leave the pool area before entering any other common areas such as elevators, walkways, lobby, stairways, etc.

7. No electronic equipment such as radios or TV’s are allowed at the pool area.

8. Beverages in non-breakable containers only will be allowed in the pool area. Excessive use of alcohol is not permitted in the pool or BBQ area.

9. No running, or loud and boisterous play is permitted inside the pool area. All individuals must comply with rules posted in the pool area and observe requests from the Resident Manager, or designee, with respect to personal conduct in and around the pool and BBQ area.

10. Toys, scuba gear, tubes, rafts, diving equipment or similar items are not allowed in the pool or adjacent area. Snorkels, goggles and child arm ‘swimmies’ are allowed. Diving into or jumping into the pool with these items is not allowed.

11. Any person having long hair must put it in a ponytail before entering the pool.

12. There shall be no nude sunbathing in the pool area.

 

The resident Manager will enforce the House and Pool Rules

This includes use of law enforcement personnel if necessary.
